Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) is a non-cancerous growth of the prostate that can cause annoying urinary symptoms and significantly affect the quality of life. This growth of the prostate can obstruct the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body, making urination difficult. The symptomsof BPH can range from mild to severe and include:
- Frequent and urgent need to urinate.
- Weak urinary flow or interrupted.
- Inability to empty the bladder completely.
Although BPH is not a cancerous condition, its symptoms can be severe enough to require medical treatment. Benign Prostatic hyperplasia is the most common cause of urinary problems in men over the age of 50, and its prevalence increases with age. Proper treatment is essential to relieve symptoms and improve quality of life.
