On October 17th and 18th, the Cruz Roja Hospital of Palma de Mallorca organized the Health Conference, which brings together all the Red Cross healthcare centers in the country. In this edition, the Urology Department of the Red Cross Hospital in Palma was the only department from the center to actively participate with a presentation.
Dr. Xavier Bonet and Dr. Víctor Parejo, urologists at the Red Cross Hospital of Palma de Mallorca, offered a lecture titled “New Approach to Prostate Pathology,” where they shared their advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate conditions such as prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The doctors detailed the new cutting-edge technologies and techniques that have been incorporated into the hospital, highlighting their positive impact on early detection and treatment efficacy. Dr. Bonet discussed Prostate Fusion Biopsy and Focal Therapy for Prostate Cancer, while Dr. Víctor Parejo explained the benefits of Laser and Rezum as minimally invasive treatments for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.
The lecture captured the interest of attendees, underscoring the relevance of these advancements in the field of urology and their contribution to improving patients’ quality of life.
