Andrología Mallorca Team Participates in the 25th National Red Cross Health and Social Care Conference in Bilbao

Dr. Xavier Bonet, Dr. Víctor Parejo and Dr. Valentí Tubau, members of the Andrología Mallorca team, took part as speakers in this national event, sharing their experience and knowledge of the evolution, current developments and future challenges of robotic surgery.

On 22 and 23 October 2026, Bilbao hosted the 25th National Conference of Spanish Red Cross Health and Social Care Centres, bringing together healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances, challenges and opportunities for innovation in medical care.

The Andrología Mallorca team was represented by Dr. Xavier Bonet, Dr. Víctor Parejo and Dr. Valentí Tubau, who contributed to the scientific programme with a presentation focusing on robotic surgery and its evolution in the hospital setting.

Their participation reflects our team’s shared commitment to continuous scientific development, knowledge exchange and the adoption of technological advances that contribute to improving medical practice.

Robotic Surgery: Origins, Present and Future Challenges

During the first day of the conference, held on Thursday, 22 October, our specialists participated in a presentation entitled “Robotic Surgery at the Red Cross Hospital: Origins, Present and Future Challenges.”

The session focused on one of the most rapidly developing areas of modern surgery: robot-assisted surgery, a technology that has transformed numerous surgical procedures, particularly in the field of urology.

This technology enables surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures with greater precision of surgical movements and enhanced visualisation of the operating field, opening up new possibilities for treating various medical conditions.

Beyond technological advances, the evolution of robotic surgery also presents significant challenges related to specialist training, multidisciplinary teamwork and the integration of new technologies into hospital environments.

The joint participation of Dr. Xavier Bonet, Dr. Víctor Parejo and Dr. Valentí Tubau brought the perspective of a medical team committed to innovation and the continuous improvement of surgical procedures.

A Team Committed to Innovation and Medical Excellence

At Andrología Mallorca, we believe that high-quality patient care is the result of teamwork, continuous professional development and the dedication of every member of our medical team.

Our specialists’ participation in scientific events such as this conference provides valuable opportunities to exchange experiences, explore different perspectives and continue advancing evidence-based medicine.

Robotic surgery demonstrates how technological innovation, combined with professional expertise and specialised training, can contribute to the development of new therapeutic possibilities.

For our team, staying informed about these advances and actively participating in scientific discussions is part of a shared philosophy: to keep learning, sharing knowledge and working together to provide high-quality medical care for our patients.

Sharing Knowledge to Keep Moving Forward

The 25th National Conference of Spanish Red Cross Health and Social Care Centres, held at the URH Santurce Palacio de Oriol Hotel, also featured sessions dedicated to mental health, biotechnology, digital health, cybersecurity and other current challenges in healthcare.

Events like these encourage collaboration between professionals from different specialties and highlight the importance of approaching the future of medicine from a multidisciplinary perspective.

At Andrología Mallorca, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Spanish Red Cross, the organising committee and all participating professionals for making this event possible and providing an opportunity to share knowledge and experiences.

We are proud of our colleagues Dr. Xavier Bonet, Dr. Víctor Parejo and Dr. Valentí Tubau, who represented our team at this scientific meeting.

At Andrología Mallorca, we continue moving forward together, with research, continuous education, innovation and teamwork as the foundations of our commitment to our patients’ health and well-being.
